Defining the parameters of our fiduciary and administrative roles.
Important Disclosures
Directed Trust Services
New Hampshire Shores Trust operates primarily as a “Directed” or “Delegated” fiduciary under New Hampshire RSA 564-B. In this capacity, our role is strictly administrative. We do not exercise investment discretion unless explicitly appointed to do so in a separate written agreement. Responsibility for investment decisions, including the selection and monitoring of assets, remains with the appointed Investment Advisor or Trust Protector.
Not an Insured Institution
Trust assets held by New Hampshire Shores Trust are not deposits and are not insured by the FDIC or any other government agency. Trust investments are subject to investment risk, including the possible loss of the principal amount invested.
Conflict of Interest Policy
New Hampshire Shores Trust is an independent trust company. We do not sell proprietary investment products or receive commissions from third-party investment managers. This independence is maintained to ensure our interests remain aligned with the administrative integrity of the trust instrument.
New Hampshire Situs Benefits
While New Hampshire offers some of the most favorable trust statutes in the United States—including no state income tax on trusts and robust asset protection—the specific tax and legal benefits of any trust depend on the residency of the beneficiaries and the specific provisions of the trust document.
